Read It And Weep
The joke’s on me, actually, since all I do is read (with a little weeping, kept to a minimum). I can’t recommend any good novels or magazines because the only reading I’m doing now is business management, marketing, and the personal statements for DICAS I’ve re-written at least five times. No NY Times bestsellers or juicy celebrity gossip mags here.
I’m sure there will be a day (hopefully this summer!) that I can read for leisure again. It is sort of weird reading in a hurry; for example, I need to read two chapters of this, and one chapter of this, all by 9pm so I can switch to my APA source citation paper before I run out of steam and have to go to bed. Once in bed, I read inspirational quotes on Pinterest, because, you know, I’m hanging on by a thread here.
I read this quote every day. It hangs on my wall at work. However DICAS turns out, I’ve done my very best in the situation I’ve been in – lots of hard things lately. Still dealing with the aftermath of Gram’s death and struggling to manage the schedule I gave myself for this last semester. Running a few times a week is helping but I’m still tired all the time. 0/10, do not recommend doing what I’m doing while working on DICAS. Let’s hope I have something to show for it in April.
